Using branch rulesets and merging branches for parallel development

Branched development is typically used in an organization where multiple teams are performing development on a single application. The following steps outline the overall approach for each team:

  1. Create a development application that is built on the main application.
  2. Add the access group for this application to the operator records for the team members.
  3. Create the development branches.
  4. Create the branch rulesets for the branches listed in the application rule.
  5. Perform rule development using the branch rulesets.
  6. Use the Merge Branches wizard to merge your branches.
